In July, the 2015 - 2016 NZSSC is returning to Powell River for the International Choral Kathaumixw, a festival of choirs from all over the world (including Artists in Residence Novel Voz from Cuba and competing choirs from USA, Canada, Australia, Austria, China, South Africa, Hong Kong, and Hungary). On their past tours, 2004 and 2010, the choir competed in Youth, Folk and Mixed Voice Choir categories and won several awards including the 2010 People's Choice Award. This year the choir has been invited as Guest Choir. What an Honour! Following their time at Kathaumixw, the NZSSC will come to Vancouver Island "on tour", culminating with this concert at St. Mary's.
Says Festival Director Paul Cummings to the NZSSC, "We are still talking about your riveting performances here in 2010. I know that you do great work, and you’re a wonderful ambassador for New Zealand in the international choral stage. NZSSC is known to give an entertaining, moving and a varied program which is a great combination in my opinion..."

Tickets for this exciting concert are $20 for Adults, and $15 for Students and Seniors. They will be available at St. Mary's Church (1973 Cultra Ave. in Saanichton) or at Tanner's Bookstore in Sidney (2436 Beacon Ave.). Tickets may also be available at the door.
