Sweet Scarlet Vocal Ensemble
Sweet Scarlet is a self-directed a cappella vocal ensemble based in Vancouver. Made up of six sassy women, the Scarlettes were brought together by their shared passion for music and performing.
With a background in choral music and a love for pop classics and contemporary favourites, Sweet Scarlet defines the genre of choral fusion, combining intricate harmonies with a cappella vocals, and bringing its own twist to music from around the globe. While they are all great friends, the Scarlettes' dedication to their craft is evident when you see them perform live.
This past summer Sweet Scarlet took part in the International Choral Kathaumixw festival held in the beautiful town of Powell River and were surprised and honoured to receive the Elmer Iseler Award for best performance of a Canadian Work as well as taking second place in both the Equal Voice and Chamber Choir categories. Sweet Scarlet brings a captivating and compelling dimension to the a cappella music scene which is not to be missed.
