HOLY TRINITY CHURCH HOSTS A TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION COMMISSION CALL TO ACTION:
# 61. We call upon church parties to the Settlement Agreement, in collaboration with Survivors and representatives of Aboriginal organizations, to establish permanent funding to Aboriginal people for:

i. Community-controlled healing and reconciliation projects.

Fern and Mark Perkins will be leading an Indigenous Education and Reconciliation project, open to the public, starting at Holy Trinity Church on West Saanich and Mills X Road, on Thursday, January 31st at 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, with lunch provided at noon.

This will be an informal presentation mixed with discussion as questions arise.

It will focus on local Métis history and will include local historic relationships with local First Nations as well as current information about being good neighbours with the First Peoples.

The presentation is free but you need a registration confirmation number to assure space for food and limited seating.
