Lynn Fallan is excited to let you know that she has been contacted by Barbara Smith, Curriculum Development Manager at the Indigenous Perspectives Society (IPS). Barbara informed her that the IPS was successful in receiving a grant from the Anglican Church of Canada to host their "Button Blanket" making program!

So, you can now join the Indigenous Perspectives Society on a creative journey of Reconciliation…

Why: Indigenous Perspectives Society has received funding from the Anglican Church to develop a project to contribute to healing and education in a creative, cultural way. Ceremonies reach across cultures to bridge the divide between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.

What: Button blankets are recognized culturally significant objects; these blankets give life to the story of our family connections.

How: Members from the Anglican Church Clergy, Indigenous Youth, Elders and members of the broader community are invited to create cherished blankets to be used as a method of learning and healing.

Where: Indigenous Perspectives Society, 664 Granderson Rd, Langford, BC

When: Each Tuesday evening beginning January 17th, 2017 from 5pm – 7pm – Meals are included.
