The Local Métis Journey Continues

In the first session on January 31st we introduced themes that need to be reviewed and expanded, such as:
• A deeper understanding of land acknowledgement
• terminology
• identity
• culture and languages
• Métis families of Greater Victoria and Central Saanich
• Douglas Treaties

These are components of Indigenous Education that are now mandatory for all BC teachers and students. You will be able to learn some of what students are being taught from grades K-12 in BC schools.
