Be Kind, Be Calm, Be Safe

“those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

You will find attached a letter from our Bishop, Anna Greenwood-Lee, regarding worship and other church life moving forward in light of increasing COVID-19 numbers in BC and on our beloved island.

Marian and I have been double vaccinated for some time now and know that most of you have.  I strongly encourage you to do so if you have not.  In worship services we will use an honor system whereby we trust that any who are not vaccinated will participate in recorded services or portions being posted.  I do understand that some need to stay away from “in person” worship for other reasons and respect this.

As you see in the Bishop's letter, participation in non-worship activities will require verification of vaccination.  In our case many or most of these activities will continue by Zoom until we receive full clearance.

This is not forever.  More than ever before we need to hold together as a church family.  We all experience frustrations.  I encourage you at this time to be thoughtful and compassionate towards each other and your parish leadership.

Blessings this Labour Day weekend and be safe and close to God.
